I like the suggestion of claws or talons in several different areas of this piece. It gives you pause before you move on to the next area. I want to know where you saw a beach with sand that color. Excellent use of light as usual, and the depth of color is breathtaking.

LOL, thank you so much.....didn't you know that the beaches of Draggonaire are always that color? :D
Just my wishful thinking, to see beaches that rich in color. :D

The colours are really great here. The picture is really warm with all the reds, yellows and deep browns, it's very well incorporated, and then you use a bit of blue and grey to break up the pattern and breathe a bit of extra life into the piece. :) The details, as always, are amazing. It's a very warm and soothing picture.
I highly respect you and your work because of that, you put so much into every single picture you make... :worship:

Thanks, for your evaluation. I think people, perhaps find this one a little strange for some reason. Maybe the mixing of the fantasy element with something so familiar, or perhaps it's the 'fantasy-still life' effect. (or a sense that it is all too 'contrived'?)
I did try to liven it up and break it up with use of color and I LOVE warm colors.

the combination of detail and color in this is SO BEAUTIFUL. AND it's traditional...which I love. I do all my work with a tablet and hold so much respect for someone who works in traditional. It is just a lot different...and a bit more difficult to do (IMO).

wonderful piece...

Thanks for the comment and the fav. All media, including computer/tablet have their own skills required, and difficulties. I have a tablet, but haven't done much with it yet.-want to, just to see what I can do.

O.O Holy wow. ~bows~ You are awesome. Because of the colouring, as well as the dragons talon with crab claw... and stuff.

I think I've said this before, but you are the person most talented with natural media that I've seen here. :)
