There are some problems with the elf girl's face, but I decided to go with it anyway. I may do this in color(pencil or oil?)If I do I'll try to work out the problems. Any suggestions?

I used a mechanincal pencil to lay in a smooth base layer for all the mid to dark tones and then used 2b, 3b, 6b to work up the darkest tones. I used mechanical pencil and 3h, f and b for the highest values. I used a stump, and my fingertip a lot to push the graphite into the paper and create smooth gradations.

Wow, I never knew it takes so many techniques to do a pencil drawing like that. Not somethign I learned in highschool art classes.
Gorgeous, amazing use of pencils. :+fav:

The girl's face is perfect, except for the fact that it's not beautiful. Maybe it's just me, but I think she should be beautiful. I mean, her features are perfectly drawn and everything, but she doesn't seem to be that pretty.
The texture of the unicorn's mane, the natural tones, and the fact that it's a lonely traditional drawing in a world of computer art- I love.
Thanks-suggestions are welcome
wow!!! this is soo amazing!!! O__o really, great job!!!
Moonlight Sonata, by the way, is one of my favorite songs.
very beautiful. I love how you can notice all the different textures. That unicorn looks just the right amount of fuzziness... props to you.
Interesting response!? Thank you.
