Distant Thunder

This is Prismacolor pencil ....and a little Caran d'Ache, on cold press Fabriano paper. 11x14
Being cold pressed paper, instead of hot pressed it has a lot more texture than I normally use and turned out rougher than I prefer.
I have softened the wall behind the figure in Photoshop to minimize the texture effects. I may try this theme again, since I'm not entirely happy with it.
This is an illustration for my poem, In the Light of Another Wet Dawn. I might have been happier having her sitting, but I didn't want to copy the poem exactly.
